ABOUT

Hello. I’m Andrea. Pronounced ON-dree-uh. That’s me mean muggin’ in that pic. You may have found me here because you’ve heard that I make the best damn work possible, and make it happen both responsibly and justly. With my expertise in photography, curation, and production, I manage and lead teams with creative solution based thinking and processes, through the lenses of both sustainability and diversity/equity/inclusion. It’s not just the work we make together, but how we make it.

I’ve got 20 years of experience under my belt across publishing and advertising sectors spanning two continents. I’ve produced projects including photography based cover and feature stories for print; OOH campaigns; books; cinemagraphs/GIFs; short form and online videos; animation and claymation; behind the scenes film work; PSAs; fine art works including painting, sculpture, installation; talks + workshops; events; 3D and CGI builds; gallery exhibitions; and more. As a passionate environmentalist, my proudest accomplishment to date is building, pitching, launching, and successfully implementing a sustainable production initiative at Wieden+Kennedy’s Portland headquarters targeting and realizing all shoots as zero waste + carbon neutral— now 4 years strong, while relentlessly striving for and pursuing B Corp status, also achieved.

Most recently, I spent 10 years as a Senior Art Producer working at Wieden+Kennedy in Portland, Oregon. Previously, I was the Director of Photography at Seventeen Magazine and Senior Photo Editor at Martha Stewart Living and Everyday Food for 6 years. In between, I spent some time as the Director of Photography at Seventeen magazine, and several years freelance producing and studio managing for various photographers and agencies that led me to shoots involving the likes of former UK Prime Minister David Cameron and His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. I’ve been recognized as a top alumna of Parsons the New School for Design in New York City, where I graduated With Honors receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography. I’ve received awards from SPD, D&AD, American Photography, and PDN, and been on several judging panels including ADC, APA, ASMP, Young Guns, Women in Photography, among others. In 2008, I was one of 7 “Earthkeepers” designated by The Timberland Company for my role as an agent of environmental change through photography and photo activism. I’m currently a member of the Green the Bid advisory board, an organization founded by a like minded group of commercial production industry professionals and specialists, aligned with the mission to encourage an industry shift to net carbon neutral, zero waste production practices.

On the weekends you can find me deep into health and wellness research, likely photographing somewhere across the globe (42 countries and not counting ;-), cooking good food and enjoying matcha lattes, while browsing books + sites on sustainable architecture and modular prefab design. My dream is to live a simple life by the sea making art. Until then, let’s get to work!

Made in 🇷🇴. US + EU passports.
